Xbox one Controller identified as Bluetooth LE Xinput Device

Hi,

This solution is not credible, as post manually changin the driver on the device manager.

The computer gets a restart after which we are back to zero. Same situation.

Either provide a custom patch to this problem or atleast let us downgrade the controller firmware when it was supported, for god sake!!

Guys, i have a solution. I figured out that it was the controller firmware update that screwed things up, so what you wanna do is

1.- Install xbox accesories from the microsoft store

2.-go to file explorer

3.-click on "this pc"

4.-click above where it says -this pc-

5.- paste in the following command: xboxaccessories:\firmwareupdate?legacyDowngrade=true

That will allow you to roll back the firmware from your pc! Just make sure the controller is connected with usb

I tried this, unfortunately the accessories app just says "no controller connected via USB yet I can SEE the controller in the background... And when it does decide to recognize it for the command it says it is already up to date. Im over this ****. I worked perfectly fine a few months ago when I last tried it. At this point I've had less trouble with the Dual Sense Playstation 5 controllers on windows. They operate perfectly fine both wired and wirelessly.

I just bought Elite 2 and the problem is FRUSTRATING.
I will probably need to return it!

This is a VERY expensive controller, yet MSFT scr*ws us over.

You can try following steps:

Press Win+S and type device manager to open device manager.

• Locate Human Interface Devices options.
• select Bluetooth LE XINPUT compatible input device.
• Right click Properties option and go to the driver tab.
• Select update driver and choose browse my computer for drivers.
• Click let me pick from a list.
• Uncheck the box that says show compatible dardware.
• This will bring up 2 boxes. The left should have MICROSOFT selected.
• In the right box scroll down to XBOX ONE WIRELESS CONTROLLER and select it.
• Click yes on the pop up.

This is so frustrating that there is yet no solution! I have literally done all mentioned above and more for a month now. I have even clean installed my whole PC just because of this issue.

I have a Xbox Elite 2 controller and it used to work fine. I’ve been using it for a year. Since I updated the firmware, it screwed me up. In some games it doesn’t recognize it, in some games the controls are reversed, and in some, surprisingly shows me as 2 controllers connected which is totally ridiculous.

I can just go and buy the Xbox wireless adapter and it’ll work perfectly fine, but there is still something wrong, which needs to be fixed, because it’s not like it was never working for me to find another way around it. I want it back like it used to be connected via Bluetooth.
