No, definitely a single monitor issue. Any time I try to take a screenshot (this system has literally never had a second screen connected to it) they show up blown out.

Hello, I am inquiring about an issue I can't seem to solve (without turning HDR off all-together, which defeats the purpose of having it even be an option in Windows 11)
In recordings (primarily using OBS) and in screenshots (with snip and sketch) everything appears extremely over-exposed / bright with HDR enabled. This is a big problem for me as I actually, well, want to use the OS normally. I record lots of clips and take many screenshots and I've finally gotten fed up of it and am now looking for a solution. Any help appreciated, thanks
(snip and sketch has since stopped doing it, however it likes to do it randomly now. commonly happens in fullscreen programs and also my web browser for some reason)

2022-09-22T10:08:33+00:00 If you have a HDR monitor, just test it, you will understand the problem. I have 2 screen, one HDR and regular one.
If I take a screenshot on the HDR one, il will be overexposed. I'm quite sure there is an easy fix to avoid this, but you really have to look into it.
HDR is becoming quite common. -

My co-worker need to use tools like teamviewer to connect to my laptop, and it's always overexposed when HDR is on.

2022-09-26T02:17:20+00:00 Lately I've been using the Xbox game bar to capture screenshots (which does understand HDR) then using "HDR + WCG Image viewer" to adjust the brightness and save as an SDR image. Kind of clunky, but it gets the job done. Below are a couple of shots out of Red Dead Redemption 2 with HDR enabled.
