Over-exposure in screenshots and recordings with HDR in Windows 11

Hello, I am inquiring about an issue I can't seem to solve (without turning HDR off all-together, which defeats the purpose of having it even be an option in Windows 11)

In recordings (primarily using OBS) and in screenshots (with snip and sketch) everything appears extremely over-exposed / bright with HDR enabled. This is a big problem for me as I actually, well, want to use the OS normally. I record lots of clips and take many screenshots and I've finally gotten fed up of it and am now looking for a solution. Any help appreciated, thanks

(snip and sketch has since stopped doing it, however it likes to do it randomly now. commonly happens in fullscreen programs and also my web browser for some reason)

    It's a single monitor issue too. I tried disconnecting one display obviously to check it.

    How do we get more noise to microsoft to fix this? I mean, we can't be the only people with this issue?

    Monitor: Samsung Odyssey G9

    I am just thinking Microsoft is way behind on HDR. The first monitor was released when? 2017? 5 years ago! we are now on Windows 11.

    I literally just keep HDR off because of how bad it is in most software.

    Problem is I can't just opt to have HDR turned off because without it everything is absurdly dark and tuning SDR content brightness does nothing to remedy that. Using a BenQ Mobiuz display

    Guess we just have to wait for 2H22 update that releases sometime in September and see if it fixes this issue. It's supposed to be a big update 🤷

    Same issue too.

    Image evidence for MS. Taken multiple times to test, snip, print screen, nvidia shadow play, OBS. Doesn't matter this is the result. I'm also using HDR with Windows 11 and only on 1 monitor.

    First image is the correct presentation, and how the game should look. Second image is the over-exposed result currently produced on Windows 11.

    THe Problem is in nearly every tool visible.

    If you have HDR enabled the Display shows a wonderful, very balanced output. if i switch off hdr everything gets incredibly dark and like a grey dust overlay.

    If i keep HDR switched on: Snipping- Tool, Microsoft Teams Remote Sessions, LinkedIn Live Sessions and everything that shares your screen becomes extremely overexposed and too much brightness.

    And no: It doesnt has any impact to play with the slider of "Brightness for SDR Content"

    Pls fix this issue as it makes collaboration completely useless and nearly impossible.
