Over-exposure in screenshots and recordings with HDR in Windows 11

Hello, I am inquiring about an issue I can't seem to solve (without turning HDR off all-together, which defeats the purpose of having it even be an option in Windows 11)

In recordings (primarily using OBS) and in screenshots (with snip and sketch) everything appears extremely over-exposed / bright with HDR enabled. This is a big problem for me as I actually, well, want to use the OS normally. I record lots of clips and take many screenshots and I've finally gotten fed up of it and am now looking for a solution. Any help appreciated, thanks

(snip and sketch has since stopped doing it, however it likes to do it randomly now. commonly happens in fullscreen programs and also my web browser for some reason)

    Do something about it Microsoft. Multi monitor support and HDR has so many bugs.

    The problem isn't how to get normal color HDR on Windows, that's already solved by Xbox Screenshot, but Xbox Screenshot is very slow and doesn't automatically copy to your pasteboard. And it does not support partial screenshots. Sometimes the Xbox screenshot process will even get stuck, and you need to enter the task manager to kill the process before you can use it. So Xbox screenshots are not a user-friendly solution. 

    If the Xbox screenshot is very fast, but does not support automatic copying, then I can also write a python watchdog program to automatically copy new pictures on the hard disk to the pasteboard. Unfortunately, Xbox screenshots usually take more than 1.5-2 seconds from pressing the shortcut key to getting the screenshot, and even 5-10 seconds if it is used for the first time after booting. Therefore, the best solution still requires Microsoft to fix the bug in its system screenshot tool.

    Funny enough the workaround is win+alt+printscreen which will place the screenshot in the xbox gamebar folder which you can show with win+g

    So they do have the functionality just not in their basic screenshot application.

    Unfortunately other screenshot applications have the same HDR issue, but the xbox gamebar does not.
