Over-exposure in screenshots and recordings with HDR in Windows 11

Hello, I am inquiring about an issue I can't seem to solve (without turning HDR off all-together, which defeats the purpose of having it even be an option in Windows 11)

In recordings (primarily using OBS) and in screenshots (with snip and sketch) everything appears extremely over-exposed / bright with HDR enabled. This is a big problem for me as I actually, well, want to use the OS normally. I record lots of clips and take many screenshots and I've finally gotten fed up of it and am now looking for a solution. Any help appreciated, thanks

(snip and sketch has since stopped doing it, however it likes to do it randomly now. commonly happens in fullscreen programs and also my web browser for some reason)

    stop blaming the users for microsoft's incompetence. If the slider is at 0, what is the point of using HDR. You do realize 0 is basically off right?

    What you gave is a workaround and what we need is a fix. Do you think the majority of Windows users come to this forum? Snipping tool should work and adapt to either HDR on or HDR off in the default mode. Most users don't know about Nvidia control panel etc. Thanks for the workaround but Microsoft should have a fix for normal use.

    Lol, your solution is a bandaid. The whole point of this forum is to get Microsoft to issue a fix.

    Dude this is huge. I was snipping contents from Google Chrome and this 100% fixed it.

    Is there anyway to talk to a dev in charge about this? It's 2023, HDR is everywhere. We should even be able to have a HDR wallpaper by now.
