Microsoft Store missing from Windows 10, can't restore, can't install apps

Did the Reset offer to download the files from the cloud? If not then it reinstalls using the same corrupt onboard files. That's why the Clean Install is better because there's no way it would start up without major features unless the media was modified.

Have you worked your way through all of the fixes I gave for Store, Photos app and Windows 10 install itself? Make sure to not skip any steps - we often find out later the skipped step was the fix.

It is very important that he/she tells us if they use a Microsoft Account, as the administrator may have blocked these apps.

Also, the apps may be blocked because of your country (I am talking about Microsoft Store)

Thanks, Greg. I ran the install from a USB flash drive that I set up using the MediaCreationTool21H2 from Microsoft. The first time I ran it as an plain installation, the second time as a full reset with the disk wipe option (which took over an hour on my SSD, not bad). In both cases the Store and Photos didn't work.

As I mentioned earlier, this is a new laptop that originally came with Windows 11, but I just can't stand how limiting it is compared to 10. I just wonder if there isn't something in the hardware that makes it difficult to install some Windows 10 components. Tomorrow I should be able to try all those fixes you mentioned earlier. I'll report back as soon as I can.

Are you using a Microsoft Account? And if yes, is it personal or work account? Work accounts have rules when connected to a Windows computer that the OS will run. The administrator, if you use a work account, may have blocked Microsoft Store. Try making a local user with no Microsoft account and check for the Microsoft Store.

And, if you have the possibility, can you send the iso image you used to install the OS?

Kam, how did you install Windows 10? Compare the install you did with this gold standard Clean Install of Windows which will stay that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given, has zero reported problems, and is better than any amount of money could buy: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki... The reason I ask you to do this is because no one of millions who have followed the install in that link has ever come back to report problems that I have seen. It is also a great learning experience that will make you permanently the master of your PC because you will learn what works best and have applied it with your own hands.

You can also try to fix the issues piecemeal which I provided steps for that include everything that works whether the app will open or not. Just keep working through them, report back results or if you get stuck for more help.
