2022-06-15T14:32:20+00:00 Thank you again, Yung Shaywop, I actually use Bitdefender, so I did the equivalent and switched off Bitdefender Shield. But that does not solve my problem - Windows Security is trying to open something that does not exist. Unless you have some solution to that, I think I will leave the problem for now - it does not stop me using my computer.

2022-06-15T14:29:48+00:00 It seems that this error in the KB5007651 is reported differently in my Event Viewer.
Whilst the error listed in the Windows Update failure is 0x80070643, when I look at the Event Viewer errors, the source is shown as
Event 20, WindowsUpdateClient, and the error in the General description is given as:-
"Installation Failure Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8024200B: Update to Windows Security Platform - KB5007651 (Version 1.0.2109.27002)".
Which is it? More to the point, what's the cause, and what's the fix?

2022-06-15T13:54:17+00:00 Since you have Kaspersky active, The options for windows security are not shown. Turn off Kaspersky (Entirely). Then Follow these steps:
- Search "Windows Security" in Start. Open it.
- Click on "Virus & Threat Protection".
- Under Virus & threat protection settings, click "Manage Settings".
- Turn off Real Time Protection.
- Go to Windows Update & retry the buggy update.
