Thank You for your response. I just found it by accident. I am afraid of pushing any buttons on this computer, in fear of messing it up any more than it is. My computer is running like it's on dial up. I don't have cable, only internet connection. Only us computer for emails, Word, and internet most of the time.

I don't even know if the Office 365 is working properly. My printer, HP Officejet Pro 6978 keeps disconnecting from the computer. Will not print. Just weird stuff. When I think I have it worked out it does it again. Karen

3. After all these commands are completed, close the Command Prompt window, restart your computer, and then try to update Windows.

If it persists, use the system file checker to repair possible corrupted or missing system files.

1. Open Start and type cmd, right-click on "Command Prompt", and select "Run as administrator".
2. Run the following commands at the Command Prompt one at a time:

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

sfc /scannow
