Agreed that BIOS flashing does not solve the problem. I've had 2 BIOS updates in the last month and the problem continues. Interesting pointer on Edge. Will check it out. Recent dot net framework updates are another possible suspect for me.

I used to be part of the the Windows 11 Insider Beta channel. After updating to build 22598.ni_release.220408-1503 I began to see the same error in Event Viewer extremely frequently:
The errors are all the same and read as follows:
Autopilot.dll WIL error was reported.
HRESULT: 0x80070491
File: onecoreuap\admin\moderndeployment\autopilot\dll\dllmain.cpp, line 128
Message: NULL
I have never used any program called Autopilot or Modern Deployment. After seeing this problem I immediately left the insider program and am now queued for enrollment. However no new Windows update has happened and these errors persist. How do I prevent these errors?

2022-10-15T11:43:54+00:00 I had a similar problem a couple years ago and fought it for about 2 months before buying a new machine with the intention of giving the other one to my daughter if I ever got it fixed. I poked around with it for another 6 months which I think translates into about 60 to 80 actual hours work. And then one day for I don't know what reason I had an idea to reflash the BIOS. It worked. So you might want to give that a try before you spend any more money.
Flashing the BIOS didn't help. In my case I've narrowed it down to Microsoft Edge. The first instances happen when I start my computer. The next instances take place when I start Microsoft Edge. The error didn't occur until I updated from 21H2 to 22H2.

It started when I went to windows 11 22H2. Since then I received the cumulative update and still exists.
Need to know what to do to prevent this error.
