Many persistent errors in Event Viewer after Windows 11 build 22598.ni_release.220408-1503: "Autopilot.dll wil error was reported"

Same problem since 1 year, on a 1 year old pc.

On w10 as on w11, all components have been checked, bios and drivers updated.

Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant doesn't change anything, it's ****.

Maybe the problem is not software but hardware.

I share my sepc with you and see if we have any in common.

I thought by now we'd established that the error was linked to Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant.

On my end, I can confirm that the error disappears when I Disable the corresponding service, and reappears when I set it to anything other than Disabled.

The error is also triggered when I open the Xbox pc app, which is inline with people seeing it happen when they open other Microsoft products like Edge.

Agree, it's the Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant. Initially I disabled it! While the error went away it created other issues logging into Microsoft using Microsoft Apps along with some additional errors and/or warnings. I ended up setting it back to manual.

What’s concerning, this issue seems to have been going on for a while. A lot of people have spent a great deal of time attempting to resolve it. You would think Microsoft would have dealt with it prior to putting out Windows 11 22H2. I didn't have this issue on Windows 11 21H2.

We have, but isn't the disabling Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant service just a workaround?

Looking for ways to prevent the event error from happening on my Win 11 Pro 22H2 PC.

Have Azus ROG AMD Ryzen 7 5800X machine and wanted to get rid of McAfee & other bloatware so did a clean install (media creation tool), only to get this bombarded with this event error:

Autopilot.dll WIL error was reported.

HRESULT: 0x80070491

Message: NULL

• Updated BIOS failed to improve the problem.
• New Microsoft Account was created (in case of corruption) and a second clean install was preformed. Again, no improvement.
• NVIDIA GeForce drivers were rolled back (per one online recommendation) with zero change in status.
• Feedback Report was sent to Microsoft.
• 2 Clean installs could not fix this problem.

At time of purchase, Armoury Crate and all of the Azus account logins were up and running. MyAzus had generous permissions that were later removed, but event error 1010 was absent under this setup. Could something in the original TPM settings of the computer be contributing to the Autopilot.dll WIL error from the clean install?
