Windows 11 is keep installing the wrong AMD driver

I think the microsoft update hider worked for me too. Lets hope with the next update I will not have to do anything and I will be free from this continuous pain.

Option 1 does nothing for me. I have download drivers on OFF . Yet after 12 tries windows still reinstalls the old versions.

Option 2. DO NOT USE option 2 from Major Geeks. It has a virus that will cause problems to your system and on top of that it does not work at all. I had to do a whole other journey just to remove the bugged pop ups after the virus was removed.

Option 3. I do not have windows pro I have basic windows so I cannot use it. Microsoft should stop auto updating AMD drivers all together OR they should make the AMD driver application part of windows for all computers that use AMD hardware. Similar to how they already have with the drivers of NVIDIA graphics cards . It is already December and new year will be upon us. They should fix this Issue immidiately.

I agree I Have reinstalled the latest version of AMD drivers 12 times and have the auto driver update on OFF BUT IT KEEPS GOING BACK TO THE OLD DRIVERS THE NEXT DAY!!! SOMEONE HELP !!!

I'm going back to the latest OEM driver from Dell because I've found the latest AMD Radeon drivers (which are only a few months newer) dont give me 'Use system default XXXX' options the same as the Dell provided ones when it comes to accepting my Bluetooth Headset as the default playback and record/input device - eg on Zoom. I can still configure the eadset to be used but its just extra faffing about that I can do without - not to mention having to pause Windows Update too. If AMD cant make their drivers overwrite the OEM ones, then they need to be more helpful with updating the OEM ones so they can be kept very current.

So far it's been about a month and a half since I did that and I still have the driver that I installed. I'd say that it's been a pretty permanent solution for me.
