Windows 11 is keep installing the wrong AMD driver

No I haven't because the steps seem not applicable to my issue. The steps mentioned installing all the drivers from Windows Update. In my case, all my drivers aren't detected by WU and were just being installed by Windows silently in the background so WU won't be able to install the wrong drivers. I'm not sure how this is still happening since I already barred Windows from doing it by disabling this option. The drivers that Windows is installing for my laptop model are not even available on the HP website.

I am having this problem up to this date. I would install the right driver for the Adrelin to work but Windows will eventually install a driver silently without me knowing. Other drivers are having this kind of issue including my audio where Windows keeps replacing it with a newer version that's not even compatible with my device. And for those that would tell me to disable the automatic installation of drivers, I already did. This is not happening in Windows Update and as I mentioned, Windows is installing the drivers quietly without my permission so I keep having them rolled back. That's why I'm wondering how is this still happening. I'm so frustrated right now that I just gave up looking for solutions.

Time to do a reinstall of Windows I think. Changing registry settings can really throw a spanner in the works sometimes but using Windows to do a recovery installation then installing the Radeon drivers from AMDs website may get things back to normal.

On a freshly installed OS from scratch I can confirm that the above 6 steps work wonders so if your OS installation has become corrupted, reinstalling is best. Oh, I should also mention that Windows Update will only try to install it's own Radeon drivers on some setups so if you're not getting that (and never have?), that's a good thing.
