I received notification from Windows a few months ago and upgraded to Windows 11. It was fast and smooth in the beginning, but in the last two-three weeks, it has become significantly slow. It annoys me a lot, simply file browsing has been painful. It takes forever to open a web site on Chrome. This never was the case before, my laptop used to be really fast. I am suspicious that this is because of recent Windows 11 updates. I just want to go back Windows 10 and have my laptop speed back.
Another issue in Windows 11 that annoys me a lot is the tabs in taskbar. They frequently disappear. For instance, if I have 5 apps open, suddenly all the icons in taskbar disappear and I have to restart file explorer to fix it.
How do I fix all these permanently, or go back to Windows 10?

As someone who's been using Windows since 3.0, I get pretty frustrated just opening a file dialog. Back in 1993, opening the file dialog and changing folders used to be instantaneous, like listing files in MS-DOS. Now, Windows has to effectively pull data from the registry, which is no small database, peek at config files, and run apps from all over the HDD just to serve a list files. What used to be milliseconds is sometimes 10+ seconds.
I resolved my issue by installing the Cumulative Update for Windows 11 version 22H2 for x64. It took a while, but fixed all of my issues.
My experience similar. I had Win11 working ok till the 16th Feb 2023 upgrade after which my system froze, I had to do a complete reload of Windows10 (initiall supplied version), then ventured to upgrade to Win 11 again when Win prompted that it is ready. Now everything takes ages, just like the old Win 7 days where you click a file , go have tea, come back to find the file still loading! Not a big file either. In Excel, applying a filter or disabling takes ages!! All apps open dead slow, even a mail opens slow on clicking the received header! What a mess !! Ev
