Why did Windows 11 suddenly become slow?

If only I had known about the 10 day limit on downgrading. Now, I have a $600 paper weight. This laptop is so slow that I can see individual components rendering on virtually every app, browser or otherwise. Honestly, it reminds me of 300 baud modem days. I think I need to install Linux to get my work done.

The best option is to downgrade to Windows 10. I gave Windows 11 another chance but it just gets worse. I am using HP ZBOOK with Core i7 8th gen, 16 GB RAM 0.5 TB SSD. I never had performance issues with Windows 10. If anybody else is having problem from my experience going back to 10 is the best option.

I kept cleaning temporary files, turned of the features that I do not use, tried not to open a lot of application, but nothing worked. My laptop was always up to date. That's another issue, the updates in Windows 11 is overwhelming. I understand that it is relatively new and the developers keep fixing bugs and increase security. I am just not ready for it yet. Maybe in the future when Windows 11 gets more stable, fast and reliable, I will give it another try.

I received notification from Windows a few months ago and upgraded to Windows 11. It was fast and smooth in the beginning, but in the last two-three weeks, it has become significantly slow. It annoys me a lot, simply file browsing has been painful. It takes forever to open a web site on Chrome. This never was the case before, my laptop used to be really fast. I am suspicious that this is because of recent Windows 11 updates. I just want to go back Windows 10 and have my laptop speed back.

Another issue in Windows 11 that annoys me a lot is the tabs in taskbar. They frequently disappear. For instance, if I have 5 apps open, suddenly all the icons in taskbar disappear and I have to restart file explorer to fix it.

How do I fix all these permanently, or go back to Windows 10?

First I tell you I am not from Microsoft Community, but I giving you one tip. Please download The Windows 11 21H2 version (OS Build : 22000.318) in your computer/laptop. Because when I download this version in my desktop I saw my computer running at very smooth, and my processor is Intel TM(R) Core 2 Duo and RAM 4 GB mean unsupported ver. But also my computer is faster for running this version of Windows 11 also I have a SSD 128 GB.

So I suggesting you Please install Windows 11 old version of 21H2. Don't install any 22H2 versions, otherwise it will start laggy. (Ex : 25126, 25136, 25140, 25152 OS Builds)

I also download this versions for only my greedy. But you know the Moral, Tit for Tat. When I download this versions my computer got very lag and stopped working.

So don't download Windows 11 high versions on your computer/laptop.

And What is your processor and RAM? please tell me.

I have version 21H2 and browsing with Edge is irritatingly slow. Have 11th gen i7 processor, 16Gb RAM, 1Tb SSD. Working offline, or browsing with Google is OK.
