Hi,

I am using the latest version of Windows 11 and I have found it out that the App & Browser Control is missing in the Windows Security. Although it is shown in settings but in the app its completely missing after the update. When I clicked it there is no response for it. Kindly check it in your system too and help me out. I am on my Windows 11 Beta version.

Thanks for additional editing info, I think I would just stay at 21H2 then waiting for MS push a update to fix this stupid bug. I was about to upgrade to 22H2 to solve the bug, however I think MS will add other bugs later. So fix by myself is useless, it will happens again. Just ignor this bug. If there wasn't a notifiction shows something didn't enable, I won't find this bug. what I need is a green check on the security icon, thats it lol

It is up to you, good luck waiting for a fix from MS, they never responded to the FBH reports. 🤣🤣🤣🤐🤐

Had missing upon update to Windows 2022.

Go to Windows / System32 / SecurityHealth folder. Within that folder if you see a folder named 1.0.2109.27002-0, then delete it. You will need privileges (full ownership) to delete the suspected folder. I have a little program called Unlocker on my system to do such things, adds itself to right click menu. Unlocker was able to delete upon a reboot, and the Browser and App Control menu was back, and Device Security section was fixed as well, showing Core Isolation, TPM and Secure Boot menus again, instead of saying that the hardware was not supported.

    @B.S.4,

There is no need for anything special to take ownership.

Just go to recovery mode command prompt, select the correct disk letter for the disk containing windows then

"cd Widows\System32\SecurityHealth" and use the command "rmdir /s 1.0.2109.27002-0" to remove that directory with all the files and subfolders in it.

    Reboot and you are done.

Keep in mind that depending on when the systems were upgraded MS may have downloaded other versions by mistake.

You could find multiple versions in SecurityHealth, see the case below.

The correct version for 22621 Builds is in folder 1.0.2207.20002-0 everything else in SecurityHealth folder should be removed including SecurityHealthSetup.exe that could otherwise reinstall the wrong update.

    Image

This is the correct version to install for Builds 22621 in case there is the wrong one installed you can use the .appx that is in the folder 1.0.2207.20002-0 to reinstall the correct one.

To determine which one is currently running you can use the PowerShell command run as administrator.

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI -allusers | Select Name, PackageFullName

In this case you can see below that it is running the correct Version 1000.22621.1.0_x64

    Microsoft.SecHealthUI Microsoft.SecHealthUI_1000.22621.1.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

If it shows any different version, it is not the correct one and it needs to be reinstalled with the correct .appx from the folder 1.0.2207.20002-0
