My Headphone Jack no longer works after upgrading to Windows 11. It works if I have it plugged in and reboot, but as soon as I unplug it stops until a reboot....it does not automatically detect it

Same issue here. I have 4 systems now that all have this same problem. Tried every "recommended fix" out there short of clean install/restore. Hoping for update soon.

Same issue. Just happened about a week ago with an Insider Build update.

Hope this gets resolved soon. I record and project using headphone and speakers (not at the same time). In other words, I use this feature a lot!

This is definitely an issue in a current build of Windows 11 - not my drivers.

    Current setup:

    Dell Precision 7530 Workstation laptop.

Same problem here. Dell Vostro 5620. It does not recognise the jack in the headphone slot, at all.
It is a vital problem for someone working with videos.
All of the drivers are up-to-date according to the devices manager.

I noticed a few days ago that I was suddenly having this problem. In my case, I think Teams somehow took exclusive control of my audio. These instructions were just what I needed. Thank you, Carlo TJ!
