Headphone Jack not Recognized in Windows 11

There's nothing wrong with the headphone jack, people! It worked perfectly fine on Windows 10. You just had to install Realtek drivers. But this software is not on Win 11

I fixed it! I downloaded the audio drivers from my motherboard's website (H81M-C - Support (asus.com)), not from Realtek (PC Audio Codecs > High Definition Audio Codecs Software - REALTEK).

I didn't have to touch any setting. Plugged the headphones on my front jack and it works now.

I was having this issue as well. I had just tried dealing with ANOTHER driver issue (S0 Sleep State was completely gone, I did a whole list of things including disabling a bunch of startup stuff to do a safe boot) ((for anyone else with THAT issue, I finally resolved it after i did two different things at the same time, so I am not sure which resolved my issue. First, I reinstalled my OS using the Settings > System > Recovery > Fix problem using Windows Update option to download a repair install of the OS. This allowed me to repair install the OS without having to back everything up. While that was downloading, I also reinstalled the Intel® Graphics Driver 31.0.101.5333 and made sure to check the "clean install" option or whatever it was tagged as to uninstall the old driver first, as I was not certain I had done this on my first attempt at reinstalling the driver.))

anyways following that I couldn't figure out why switching the device plugged into my aux port wasn't working any time after first boot. I made sure Waves MaxAudio Service Application was enabled as a startup option as many in this and other threads suggested. However, I missed that the Realtek HD Audio Universal Service was also disabled on startup. enabled, rebooted, fixed! so make sure both are enabled !
