My Headphone Jack no longer works after upgrading to Windows 11. It works if I have it plugged in and reboot, but as soon as I unplug it stops until a reboot....it does not automatically detect it

    Was facing the same issue.

    Read the article,

    Could you help out please

    System Manufacturer : HP

System ModelĀ :HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg0xxx

If your laptop came with WavesMaxx Pro then you've got to enable the WavesMaxx Audio Services at startup. Go to the startup apps, scroll down and enable them and then restart. If your laptop didn't come with WavesMaxx, you've got to enable the realtek high definition audio services in the startup apps if its not already enabled then restart. One of these should work as they worked for me and is how I finally got mine sorted.

You have to locate RtkNGUI64.exe (Realtek HD audio manager), sometimes it is branded by laptop vendor, ie. for Dells is Dell Audio.

On Advanced tab are located options for jack information, you can adjust it manually.

It solved this issue for me

I had the same issue as everyone else here, when headphones weren't detected and reboot was needed. Those steps helped me:

    1. Open "Services"
    2. Find "Realtek Audio Universal Service"
    3. Open "Properties" of "Realtek Audio Universal Service" (right click it and select "Properties")
    4. Open "Log On" tab
    5. Tick "Allow service to interact with desktop"
    6. Click "Apply" button

Hope it will help you as well.
