I tried this and I think the headphone jack just doesn't work at all and the port is completely clean
(Edit is it possible for the port to not be connected to the mother board?)

My Headphone Jack no longer works after upgrading to Windows 11. It works if I have it plugged in and reboot, but as soon as I unplug it stops until a reboot....it does not automatically detect it

This works for me too!
Good Day Ruskle,
My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 11 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.
First, try to connec the headphone using a different computer or device for us to check if the issue is with the computer or the headphone itself.
If it does the same using a different device means that the headphone is faulty .
If the headphone works using a different device proceed with the steps below.
Here's the steps you can try.
-Go to Settings
-Click System
-Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter.
-Look for Playing Audio and run the troubleshooter.-Go to Device Manager
-Expand the Sound and Video Game Controllers
-Look for Audio driver that was installed
-Right click and Update
-Look for "Browse my computer for driver
-Let me pick drivers available drivers
-Choose an old driver and use it.Connect the headphone and proceed with these steps.
-Go to Control Panel
-In Control Panel, select Large icons from the View by drop down menu.
-Select Sound.
-Select the Playback tab
-Right click the headphone and click Enable.
-Right-click it again and select Set as Default Device.
-Right click headphone and click Properties.
-Click the Levels tab, then drag the volume slider towards the largest value.
-Click on Advance Tab
-Uncheck the box to "Allow Application to take exclusive controls on this device"
-Click OK.Restart your computer and test the headphone audio.
If issue persist, let's download the updated driver
What is the exact model of your computer? To check the system model proceed with these steps.
-Press Windows key + R
-Type msinfo32 and hit enter.
-Look for the System Model and manufacturer and post it here.I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.Sincerely,
Carlo T.
its works but then when i replug my earphone the same problem arise and my ear phone is completely fine please help
I had the same issue as everyone else here: plugged-in headphones would only work if there were plugged-in when the computer booted. If plugged they would not be detected again until after a restart.
What worked for me:
- Go to "Settings"
- Go to "Apps"
- Go to "Startup"
- Turn ON Waves MaxxAudio Service Application
- Restart your computer and plug/unplug/re-plug your headphones: everything should work now.
OMG this actually worked! Thank you so much I wanna marry you. Had disabled the digital bs that WavesMaxx does with the audio so had to re-enable part of it but now have the best of both worlds i.e. neutral audio through the laptop speakers and great quality through the 3.5mm headphone jack with full functionality when plugging in headphones through an aux cable. Thanks again!
Was facing the same issue.
