Headphone Jack not Recognized in Windows 11

My Headphone Jack no longer works after upgrading to Windows 11. It works if I have it plugged in and reboot, but as soon as I unplug it stops until a reboot....it does not automatically detect it

    I had the same issue. Only entering bios helped. Enter UEFI Firmware Settings. Then I something on the menu. Unfortunately, I forgot what I was updating) Couldn't find the same options to give more instructions. That was the only thing that helped me.

    This did nothing. I realized the front panel connector was plugged into motherboard. It needs to be plugged into the sound card. Front jack works now.

    Here's what worked for me(Windows 10):

    Task Manager

    Startup tab

    Find RealTek HD Audio Universal Service

    • right click. Select Properties

    -Compatibility Mode

    -click this to ON

    -select Windows Vista

    Apply

    Reboot
