My Headphone Jack no longer works after upgrading to Windows 11. It works if I have it plugged in and reboot, but as soon as I unplug it stops until a reboot....it does not automatically detect it

I have tried them all and none of them work.

The headphone jack was working fine on windows 10 but on the insider preview of windows 11 it does not work properly.

If i connect my earphones when the laptop is turning on but if i take the earphones out then the laptop is working i cannot connect them again. Now i will have to restart my laptop if i want to connect them again.

    This is so much annoying.

I have exactly the same problem, happened in the last few days but not sure exactly when. None of the online guides to sort the problem work. Extremely frustrating.

Has there been any progress on this issue? I'm getting it now too.

The system literally can't tell when something, anything, is connected through the 3.5 mm audio jack.

It only seems to check the state of the jack on boot. If you disconnect it after boot, it won't re-connect. It's acting like it's not hot-swapable/ plug-and-play.

    Good Day Ruskle,

If thats the case you may consider to perform clean installation, save all your important files in a external drive to prevent data loss and proceed with clean installation.
