I have found another work around that doesn't require messing with any themes. First, click the link (this will help highlight it). Next hit CTRL-A and then hit CTRL-C. Now you'll be able to paste it into a web browser. This is definitely not a great solution but it works.
If a MS employee sees Adam's and others' posts in this thread, the problem is really simple. In the Windows 11 environment, links simply do not fire and open in the app UNLESS a high contrast theme is used (Settings/Accessibility/Contrast Themes). The default theme is "None" and when testing, one can go from "None" to any of the 4 high contrast themes (Aquatic, Desert, Dusk and Night Sky) and magically - links open!!!. Since these high contrast themes are quite unappealing, this is not a solution to the problem.
Yes I know what it is. I was replying to the MS employee with the original suggestion.
You can read through the string and see that many of us have tried soft resets, hard resets, total new installs on both the computer and phone to no avail. The program is buggy and needs to be fixed.
Thanks.
