How to transfer multiple photos with Phone Link??

I submit that in today's software environment... with all the features available to developers, that for a Microsoft product to exclude this simple, extremely basic function is really beyond belief. They didn't start writing code yesterday, did they? Again... very disappointed in MS products.

I plug in my Olympus camera, open windows explorer, find the DCIM folder and download all my photos at once... and quickly. Why does it take such a painfully long time to download just one photo in Phone Link?

I have to upload photos into emails for work. What should be a 5 minute email with about a dozen photos takes me 20 minutes because I have to transfer each photo individually. This is ridiculous.

this is so real. I needed to backup my mothers photos and she got 1k pics and videos in it... IM DYING

But I can easily put an SD card & transfer without paying for I cloud, which I have no intention of paying anyone a cent for storing my photos - when I want them on my PC

I've managed to transfer all mine from my phone to my laptop when phone link was down

Now, I'm saving to an SS card

An Android file manager is my alternative - IMHO a good file manager is something that you need anyway. A working Internet /WLAN connection on your phone is assumed as given.

My solution, for all current Android Smartphones, requires the following:

1. Get a cloud storage account - if you do not have already one. Or other target folders, e.g. a NAS folder, that works as well .....
2. Download and install the X-plore file manager app / get it from the Google play store.
3. To use the full functionality of X-Plore, donate a tiny bit of money to the developer - and you get the full version.
4. Use X-plore for the file handling:

• The window shows two sides: one is the phone file system, the other one could be your NAS or your cloud storage (e.g. your OneDrive after your login to your OneDrive)
• HINT ONE: Get used to the app, it has the icons in the middle to create folder, etc. // It reminds one of the Norton Commander (NC) with its two file trees ....
• HINT TWO: Moving files requires to hit the copy button first, then there is a choice between copy and move (NO IDEA why, maybe to save space on small screens???)
• You can copy/move files back and forth, whenever you have a (stable) Internet connection
• You can mark and copy/move as many files as you want. I have transferred 250 files and or / gigabytes of files, with one transfer
