I had the same issue as yours with my newly purchased Asus ROG Strix G15 (2021 Model).
I can confirm that @jeremyb777's solution worked like a charm for me. I did the following steps:
- Download the "MediaTek-FORCED-10x64-7961_3.00.01.1309_lenovo-drp" from this website(DRP is a great archive of device drivers)
- Unpack the ZIP archive. Press WIN KEY + X, then hit "Device Manager"
- Under network adapters, right click Mediatek MT7921 & hit "Uninstall device", then check driver uninstall confirmation in the next dialog box.
- Restart your pc, open device manager again, right click Mediatek MT7921 under Network Adapters and hit "Update Drivers"
- Click the browse option in the next prompt and select the drivers you downloaded (and unarchived) in the first step, then wait for it to finish the installation (you should get a success prompt).
This should fine for you too, if you have a similar configuration laptop. I have Windows 11 Home installed (with latest patches).
Thanks to you i have fixed this problem. I have Asus M16 (2021) and wifi card disconnected random. Now it's ok. I hope that windows update doesn't blow everything up again....
