WIFI 6 (Mediatek MT7921) disconnects randomly

I just finished building a new pc and installed all the appropriate drivers and software. I have a WIFI 6 router which I have had for a while now and never had any issues with and the motherboard I am using is the ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS WIFI II AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard. It utilizes the Mediatek MT7921 WIFI card.

The WIFI will randomly disconnect but it says its still connected. Oddly enough I can still load Google and Youtube but nothing else and even then that is intermittent and extremely slow.

Drivers: Ive tried updating, rolling back, deleting and fresh install. no dice

Settings: Ive tried disabling IPV6, Changing from AX to AC to N, etc, Disabled the Bluetooth since its the same adapter. no dice.

Ive even checked to see on another device if my pc is connected to my router while its in this disconnected state and it shows that its connected to my router but it will not connect properly to the internet. I have not had this issue with any other device on my network so I am to conclude that it is most likely to do with this new pc and this Mediatek WIFI Adapter.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    I uninstalled my current driver, that removed the option to select it from the device manager. Restarted the PC to auto-install and get the device back to try again, and the auto-installer had installed this new driver. So far, not impressed. Pretty much the same issues as before. The device breaking randomly and forcing me to restart, sometimes multiple times before it actually behaves. Is it possible that the other drivers still stored on the PC might be interfering somehow? Since there is an option to delete all the driver info when uninstalling the device. The closest thing I've gotten to a fix so far was something this one video recommended involving going through the command module and wiping something or other clean (not any files as far as I understand, just something in the deeper hardware that was getting clogged up). I can't seem to find that video again though.

    Hi Ashkat,

    It seems that the most successful "fix" for this has been changing drivers... In most circumstances, using whatever "newest" driver that the PC maker recommends is the way to go. However, with this device, it seems to be causing many problems. For example, the HP drivers are causing my internet to disconnect all the time. It has been found that other drivers provided through other PC makers seem to work a lot better. I am using the driver found in the link below:

    However, in order to download it you will likely need to uninstall whatever driver you are currently using and manually install this driver. People have explained how to do this through the device manager in previous responses. I hope it works for you.

    I'm facing the same issue and I've got the same MediaTek wifi 6 version as yours.Did you get this issue fixed??

    im still having the disconnecting issue. ive updated drivers to the ones listed here but it still disconnects every 10hrs or so. also the link above wont work for me.
