I really want to un sync my windows 11 laptop from my desktop computer connected with the same Microsoft account. Every time I delete something on my laptop to free up space I don’t want it to be deleted from desktop. How do I change this? Please and thank you for your time.

Open Settings > Accounts > Sync your settings
Under Sync your settings on This PC, move the slider to the left to Turn Off

I saw that another person said to do this too who was having the same problem. Except when I click on Settings > Account > I don’t see any option saying sync your settings. How do I fox this or is there somewhere else i can find this setting?

Do you use OneDrive? This could sync the Desktop folder, please open OneDrive Settings and try to remove the Desktop folder form the list of Synced folders

I am having the issue that there is no sync slider to disable sync completely. I have accessed the sync level and turn off all of the sliders there but edge is still showing sync is on.
I have the exact same issue. There is no option or button to turn sync off at all. Seems to be permanently on. I searched every settings feature and could not find anything that turned it off. The worst part is I never activated sync to begin with, it activated automatically and won't allow me to disable it. Unwanted Microsoft spyware in full effect lol. You should be paying me to use this product...
