I really want to un sync my windows 11 laptop from my desktop computer connected with the same Microsoft account. Every time I delete something on my laptop to free up space I don’t want it to be deleted from desktop. How do I change this? Please and thank you for your time.

On the "latest" (2023-01-23) version of Windows 11, you go to Settings --> Accounts
Then in the URH corner you click on the "One Drive Manage" icon which brings you to the "Manage folder backup" screen. You can then turn off some or all the directories (such as Pictures) that you want to stop backing up.
There is no option and microsoft answers have less than a 10 percent success rate. Personally, I have never seen a real or proper answer from microsoft for even basic questions. It's all bllsht.
This is some serious MS BS. I can't even see an "Accounts" option when in Settings. MS seems not to want us to be able to turn off sync (i.e., harvest your data). This is really infuriating. Google at least make is perfectly clear how to turn off sync. **** is up with this, Microsoft?
I have the exact same issue. There is no option or button to turn sync off at all. Seems to be permanently on. I searched every settings feature and could not find anything that turned it off. The worst part is I never activated sync to begin with, it activated automatically and won't allow me to disable it. Unwanted Microsoft spyware in full effect lol. You should be paying me to use this product...
I am having the issue that there is no sync slider to disable sync completely. I have accessed the sync level and turn off all of the sliders there but edge is still showing sync is on.
