As I already said in my post. I've already uninstalled and re-installed the apps. Then restarted etc.
It Still happens.
And already done the "open with" selection....

Windows 11 - "No such interface supported" error when opening an xml file to edit - should open in Code Writer.

I have just installed the latest Windows 11 patch and now my xml files show with a PDF image next to them. The application setting is set to automatically open with Code Writer so the image should be the Code Writer image not PDF. When I try to open it I get the error message "No such interface supported". I can open Code Writer and then open the file from within Code Writer.
How can I fix this please. I am not very computer literate, so a step by step solution would be appreciated.

UNINSTALL THE APP THAT IS GIVING PROBLEMS...
THEN... REINSTALL INSTALL IT...
PROBLEM SOLVED.
Make sure that the app is totally removed...
Open the app folder. Right click on the app, then uninstall.
Restart the machine, then reinstall the app.
If you still can't open your files, then try and relink the files to the app (OPEN WITH...) and it will remember and work again...

2022-11-23T14:04:13+00:00 I've got the same issue, with windows 11 now unable to open any GLB/GLTF files in 3d viewer, Paint 3d and 3d Builder. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted and still getting the same issue.
Anyone got any further fixes, before I try and revert to Win 10?

After upgrading from Windows 10 to 11, I experienced the same incident where I couldn't open files with ".jpg" format and had to open them manually. However, I tried fiddling with the settings and I tried updating Microsoft Photos in the Microsoft Store, and now everything is working normally. So my suggestion, maybe you can try updating related applications through the Microsoft Store. Hopefully this is useful, and I hope the problems you all face can quickly get enlightened!^^
