I have just installed the latest Windows 11 patch and now my xml files show with a PDF image next to them. The application setting is set to automatically open with Code Writer so the image should be the Code Writer image not PDF. When I try to open it I get the error message "No such interface supported". I can open Code Writer and then open the file from within Code Writer.
How can I fix this please. I am not very computer literate, so a step by step solution would be appreciated.

The solution has been mentioned many time in the post...
UNINSTALL THE APP THAT IS GIVING PROBLEMS...
THEN... REINSTALL INSTALL IT...
PROBLEM SOLVED.
Make sure that the app is totally removed...
Open the app folder. Right click on the app, then uninstall.
Restart the machine, then reinstall the app.
If you still can't open your files, then try and relink the files to the app (OPEN WITH...) and it will remember and work again...
Funny i have 2 drive C: and E:, i can't open .obj and .fbx files with 3d viewvr ONLY from E: drive :/

Nope.
Looks like the last big update, 22H2, may have broken some permissions and links in various apps and programs.
Simply reinstalling them resolves this issue for most people.
