I hope you can help me with this fast as you can and thank you... :

Why am I still not receiving the 22h2 update for Windows 11 even though my device is compatible and meets the minimum specifications by much and I have already installed the latest Windows 11 version, but it has been several days since the release of update 22h2 and I still haven't received it in the settings of Windows update, knowing that I currently live in Saudi Arabia, in the Middle East. I hope someone can tell me why I haven't received the update yet? Do I have to wait a few more days? Is it completely safe without any difference that the update might happen manually? And also will it be Better if it must be updated from Windows Updates from Settings, or download it from the Internet manually?,

I apologize but I want to know about this, I hope someone can answer me as soon as possible and thank you very much.

    We are far away form the "next month" .. i don't see it yet ... today is November the 5th
    I see that AMD Architecture is the mos suffering when any windows update.

    We are probably sons of no-one ...

    Thanks for the suggestions. All drivers are up to date on this system. I contacted Microsoft a couple weeks ago about this and they said it could be a while, but this still seems a little longer than usual to me.

    I also shall do an update. I keep getting this suggested update for a Western Digital Technologies -WDC-SAM-4.55.25.661 ... BUT I do not believe this to be an update for the SSD in this unit (MSI gf76 Katana).

    It might be that this update is for the external HD I have for a backup, but I haven't installed it. The reason for that is, I'm not sure if it might do something negative to this SSD. Your advice would be appreciated.

    I changed the post to better highlight the scope of my solution. As you have a new computer, I recommend you check that you are not missing any drivers (I added info on how to do that in the updated post). I almost always end up with missing drivers on a brand new system, but they are usually fairly easy to find on the device manufacturers website.

    My computer is not as you put it, 'provisioned a Work of School account' but still no update is available. The odd thing is, one laptop got the update several weeks ago and this one hasn't & they're both new laptops. So no, this is far from solved.

    I have outlined three possible solutions depending on your situation.

    • If you want 22H2 for the file explorer tabs, you may need to check for extra updates AFTER you install 22H2.

    Solution 1

    Major Windows upgardes are blocked because you have an active work or school account.

    If your computer is provisioned for a Work or School acccount (see Settings / Accounts / Access Work or Shcool), you will be blocked from updating to 22H2. This is easily fixed by going to Settings / Accounts then disconnecting from your Work or School account. Although you will no lose access to email, file sharing and other resources from your organisation, you can proceeed with the upgrade and then reconnect the account again once the upgrade is complete.

    Notes

    1. The update will become available in Settiungs / System / Windows Update after you disconnect from your Work or School account.
    2. Once you disconnect your Work or School account, do not tempt fate by opening email or other work/school apps until after you have downloded and installed the 22H2 update.
    3. None of your work or school information is lost, all access is restored once you reconnect your work or school account after the upgrade.

    Solution 2

    You are using missing or outdated drivers.

    Microsoft has blockers that prevent some PCs from downloading the update due to potential issues such as incompatile software/hardware or missing drivers.

    To check your drivers, open Device Manager and find any devices or interfaces that have a yellow exclamation mark next to them. These devices will require a driver update.

    Solution 3

    You do not have administrator access to your system.

    Open Settings / Accounts and click your profile name in the top left-hand corner to reveal your account status (example above). You will not be able to run the update if you are not using an Administator level account.
