Sinhala Unicode rendering issue with windows 11 22H2

The problem is not solved.

yes not fixed yet.

After installing a fresh version of Windows 10 22h2 built 19045.3086 this issue occurred and it wasn’t rendering Iskoola Pota properly. It only happened in MS Office and browsers even in Libre Office after installing it to do the immediate work. However, Abhaya Libre was rendering fine so I was thinking of adjusting to it.

After following instructions from many solutions I found online including few youtube videos, still the issue was there. However, while performing a solution which involved editing the registry, I found that Iskoola Pota wasn’t listed there as a registry entry so I did the following.

1. Install iskpota.ttf and iskpotab.ttf if they aren’t installed (Check in Windows/Fonts)
2. Search and type RegEdit to open registry editor
3. Go to the following location in registry Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts All the fonts installed shall be shown there.
4. Right Click in an empty space of the list New > String Value Name the Value as “Iskoolapota (True Type)” and Enter
5. Right Click the value, select Modify and enter the Value data as “iskpota.ttf”
6. Do steps 4 and 5 for iskpotab.ttf also
7. Check whether the issue is resolved.

It involves deleting 3 Nirmala fonts from the registry location

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts

Then install https://fontsdata.com/142837/iskpota.htm and https://fontsdata.com/142818/iskpotab.htm
