Wireless Display Adapter Custom Wallpapers

We have recently upgraded our Microsoft Wireless Display Adapters to the latest available firmware 2.0.8442 to take advantage of the ability to upload custom wallpapers with our company branding. They are the Version 2 adapters with the Microsoft Four Square logo and we are using the latest available Windows 10 app version 4.227.139.0. The process to upload the custom wallpapers/backgrounds on each adapter took a little time to succeed and worked best after performing a reset of the adapter using the client software however while the custom wallpaper is displayed when the adapter is first powered on after a period of time (10+ minutes) it is replaced by the inbuilt landscape wallpapers.

How do we remove the inbuilt backgrounds and just display our own image or images?

May I know is the monitor connected by a client or not, when the wallpaper "is replaced by the inbuilt landscape wallpapers"? And are all the adapters have the same sympton? Since you mentioned you are in a company, if the computer are domain-joined, please try connecting the adapter with a computer which is not domain-joined, since sometimes GPO will causes unexpectedly issues.

BTW, would you mind telling how you custom wallpapers so that we can better understanding this issue? Thanks in advance!

Any chance of some traction on this? The people in this thread are referring to the custom background feature on the wireless display adaptor v2 upwards. I find it hard to believe Microsoft are continuing to churn these out, and with 4k upgrades, but offer zero support and will not fix a major bug that makes this almost useless to many users

this question still seems to be open. I got same issues as OP and will post more details here.

Current Firmware on adapter: 2.0.8442

Installed wallpapers:

I would like to always load the fifth wallpaper (our CI) when powering up the adapter. So either remove the other 4 or make sure that the adapter is always picking the fifth one. Right now it seems to be random.

Same question. I also can't seem to upload more than 1 image. It keeps the first 4 default backgrounds, adds our custom image, and then auto-rotates between the images, only showing our custom image 1 out of 5 times.

On a side note, to Marco's description, I could do with five different company pictures that could rotate, if the intention is to negate a potential burn in.
