Error 0X800f0922 when installing Windows update KB5012170

Just to add My resolution of KB5012170 getting 0x800f0922.

I was working on a HP 8300 Elite SFF bios 3.08 and had to go into bios and enable the TPM 1.2 chip and allow OS management of the security device.

After doing that KB5012170 went straight through.

I have the same issue, the computer after restart cannot finish the update, and the update is rolled back. The issue is when we try to update with KB5012170, Microsoft have this issue under work, and we only can wait until a fix will be. "Microsoft notes that mitigating the issue is possible by updating the UEFI version to the latest version from the vendor." But, I cannot update my motherboard, it is old, without any update for many years. The Microsoft page to check if this issue is resolved is below. I had the same issue with KB5016616 as KB5012170 which were together as a group and both failed twice, in my case. However, after I went ahead and accepted the "Feature update" from Windows 21H1 to 21H2 that I'd been holding back on for the past several months, KB5016616 installed successfully on Windows Update next attempt.

Yes. I have opened a ticket with Microsoft and will let you know what I hear back. However I recommend you open one as well so they get visibility to this issue.
