This app can't run on your PC

My PC keeps giving me a message that says, "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for this PC check with software developer." I disregarded it the first time and just closed it but it keeps coming back. I've looked for solutions everywhere and none of them work. I feel like I've been having problems all the time ever since I upgraded to windows 11. I don't know what to try anymore to get rid of this.

    The problem is, I don't know what app is causing it. I will close all apps, and walk away from the computer and a minute later it pops up again. I go to Task Manager and don't see any apps running. I run virus scans and it says clean.

    I am simply trying to run a setup file from UAD Audio as i am updating the software, which should be windows 11 compatible. In compatibility mode there is no option pass windows 8. This also happened with Firefox a program that should except updates without issue, and also a few other programs. Some work after uninstall and re-install others do not. This is a WINDOWS 11 problem which needs to be addressed and fixed. Its not an individual program error nor user issue.

    Hello,

    This was driving me insane!

    I uninstalled the McAfee WebAdvisor Chrome Extension, and VOILA, problem solved.

    I hope this helps someone... 😊
