This app can't run on your PC

My PC keeps giving me a message that says, "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for this PC check with software developer." I disregarded it the first time and just closed it but it keeps coming back. I've looked for solutions everywhere and none of them work. I feel like I've been having problems all the time ever since I upgraded to windows 11. I don't know what to try anymore to get rid of this.

    I am having the same issue too after upgrading my windows 10 Home Single Language to windows 11 Home Single Language.I have tried all the work around I can find online and none solve this problem.I bought my laptop brand new about 5 months ago and it was pre insttalled with windows 10 Home Single Language version 21H2.All was fine and I was able to install any apps outside Microsoft Store.My problem begin when the Windows update to version 22H2 (Auto updates).After trying all the work around I can find online,but not solved, I thought by upgrading to Windows 11 Home Single Labguage would solve it.I was wrong.Windows version 22H2 is really sucks.I even try factory reset and reverting back to Windows 10.None solve this issue.And here I am(January 2024),still trying to find solution to this issue.Hope that Microsoft will fix this since I really don't know what else to do.I can't install any apps outside Microsoft Store at all.

    I'm running Widows 10 and am having the same issues. When I try to change Compatibility, Windows 10 isn't even an option. Windows 8 is the newest option available. Bios battery is brand new. Any clues as to what's going on yet?

    What if it doesn't tell you what app can't run? My error says, "This app cannot run on your PC to find a version for your PC , check with the software publisher." It doesn't say what software. Only seems to happen when I run chrome.

    I am trying to update my dads Dell 660 from Windows 8 to Windows 10

    Windows 8 can't run the Update Assistant.
