Windows 11 security actions recommended but none found

on windows 11 the security icon in the task bar shows an exclamation in a yellow triangle and says "security actions recommended", but when I look at them all, they all say NO ACTION NEEDED

    Had same problem with new Laptop and Windows 11 - Security icon in taskbar shows "action needed". Here is what I did to resolve this as could not find what "action" was needed.

    Went into Windows Security

    Then App and Browser Control

    Change Potentially Unwanted App Blocking to ON

    Note: Mine was already set to ON - so I switched it to Off - let windows make system change - then went back and switched it to ON

    Did not reboot or anything

    Windows security icon now shows "no action needed".

    Same here on Win11 Enterprise, v. 22H2, build 22621.1555.

    Linux looks better and better each day.

    Try these steps

    1 Go to windows settings, click on privacy and security

    2 Click on windows security

    3 Click the tab App and Browser control

    4 click on Reputation-Based protection settings and enable everything there.

    *I think this might be the answer to your problem.

    I did this and in fact reputation-based protection was off, however I can't turn it on again, after I try to turn it on I get a prompt asking me if I want windows defender make changes, I reply yes, but the reputation-based protection is still off, no matter how many times I try, even after a machine reset it's still off.

    Hello. I started having this issue after installing some updates yesterday 10 Jan 2023. After reading thru all these posts and nothing working, I uninstalled Windows Security Update KB5022303, rebooted and the issue has gone away.

    Hope this helps someone.

    Dear Sir:

    I have absoloutely NO IDEA what you're talking about.

    I own nothing close to the specs given for the processor, etc and have not asked Microsoft Comminity for any advise.
