I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 a few months ago, and ever since I've been having a problem where the icons disappear from the taskbar. It happens while I'm using the laptop as well as when it comes out of hibernation.
I know this can be fixed temporarily by restarting Windows Explorer in the task manager, but this is happening several times a day and it's getting annoying. Is there a permenant fix yet?
I'm using Windows 11 Home version 21H2 build 22000.856 on a HP laptop with an Intel i5 1035G1 processor and 8GB of RAM. The problem didn't exist when I was running Windows 10.
Thanks.

Good afternoon, October 19, 2023! Any response or offer for assistance from Microsoft? (looks around). NOPE! Still an issue.
Thanks so much for your concern for us Windows Users who put money in your pockets. Maybe we should STOP DOING THAT!
Side note... I've read through so many articles and fixes and tried them all. My icons still randomly vanish. I keep my Task Manager open now so I can quickly restart Windows Explorer when it happens multiple times each day. Plenty of temporary workarounds. No actual Fixes for this issue.
In the past, I would reboot my PC to fix the missing icons from my taskbar, Pain in the a**. However, this time I fixed it without rebooting. (Although, I’m not sure the issue will not return again in the future. Time will tell.)

I can't believe this is still going on!
Give us back our icons!
