I have a new Dell Inspiron with disappearing taskbar icons. It happens with every single MS update which makes me think Andrew is onto something correct. A power outage occurred yesterday and the icons disappeared again which isn't related to an update as far I as I know. Maybe this problem doesn't get fixed because the experts at MS don't know what they did to make it happen. I find that incredibly unsettling. Thank you everyone who has this problem and wants the issue solved.
Icons Keep Disappearing From Taskbar - Windows 11
I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 a few months ago, and ever since I've been having a problem where the icons disappear from the taskbar. It happens while I'm using the laptop as well as when it comes out of hibernation.
I know this can be fixed temporarily by restarting Windows Explorer in the task manager, but this is happening several times a day and it's getting annoying. Is there a permenant fix yet?
I'm using Windows 11 Home version 21H2 build 22000.856 on a HP laptop with an Intel i5 1035G1 processor and 8GB of RAM. The problem didn't exist when I was running Windows 10.
Thanks.

2023-01-16T00:29:44+00:00 Just started having this issue after running W10 for 2 years and W11 for one year. No new software installed. All drivers and Windows are up to date. It's very random.
