how to display picture thumbnails windows 11

How do I display thumbnails in pictures; tried selecting pictures, all folders, large icons, apply, didn't work, tried selecting default settings, didn't work, help!

    Great for you. I have only maybe 10% of my thumbnails displaying as images.

    The only time I'm getting images instead of icons is after I click on the onedrive folder and allow everything to sync. Then the images display as I scroll down through a folder. The sync seems to turn itself off, no idea why. I'm past the point of worrying about it and do my job from portable drives for work that can't be in a cloud. Again this year I'm paying $179 for annual Geek Squad support from Best Buy since Windows 11 and onedrive has been such a nightmare.

    I bought a new desktop with Windows 11. My laptop has Windows 10. When I initially encountered this issue with my thumb nails, it was with my laptop. I discovered my OneDrive sync was the culprit and uninstalled OneDrive. When I set up my new desktop, I immediately uninstalled OneDrive. Since both the desktop & the laptop had different versions of Windows, the issue lies within OneDrive. There are many different cloud storages out there that people can use. Why not dump OneDrive and go with something like Google Drive???

    Thanks, Mary. I may ultimately do that. I have spent so much time on it at this point and don't want to spend more time dealing with something else. It's also an issue of I have this included in my MS subscription, which I need for work, and don't want to have to spend more money on another cloud.
