how to display picture thumbnails windows 11

How do I display thumbnails in pictures; tried selecting pictures, all folders, large icons, apply, didn't work, tried selecting default settings, didn't work, help!

    I went in to OneDrive folders and removed the back-up of pictures, that seemed to work but now they are blocked out again. I don't seem to be able to get back to onedrive again through the folder option.

    I went into settings and see the onedrive cloud storage but I don't see anywhere to unsync or disable onedrive. I don't see the onedrive, do I need to download an app?

    Microsoft products don't actually work like that. It takes doing 6 different methods before perhaps one will work until their next update. Then it's time to start all over again, with a new protocol. Ever tried to use a worse more clunky, problematic, and outdated OS? Of course not.

    I have found that the "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is unchecked, but that does not correct the problem
