This does not work. I've tried all of the various ways suggested to fix this problem. I honestly never had any issues until OnDrive took over my computer without my consent, I've fixed that issue, but I have THOUSANDS of photos and cannot tell what any of them are. PLEASE HELP!

2023-02-08T21:29:39+00:00 I have a similar, if not the same issue. When Syncing to a SharePoint Document Library full of photos, the images of the files that show in my File Explorer that are sync'ed through OneDrive show generic icons, not thumbnails. The Document library itself does show thumbnails. Does OneDrive not sync thumbnails?
Hi Sharon,
I am Dave, I will help you with this.
At the top of File Explorer, click the 3 dots and choose Options
On the resulting dialog, select the View tab and turn off the option to 'Always show icons, never thumbnails'.
Save that setting, then restart File Explorer and check if setting the view to large or extra large icons shows thumbnails

2022-11-22T17:49:53+00:00 I've been having the same issue with .rw2 (Panasonic RAW) files, although things like .jpg/.tif/png work fine. I've installed the RAW image extension from the store and tried both of the below things, but it doesn't seem to work. It seems to work fine on my Windows 10 laptop, so assuming this is a Win11 only issue?

Continue with Dave's advice above. If that doesn't works, try resetting thumbnail cache:
