how to display picture thumbnails windows 11

I'm finding that if onedrive is paused or off, the icons do not display as photos but show as the blue thing. Apple is looking better and better to me too. It's a waste of time trying to constantly keep up with issues and work around onedrive.

yeah, my productivity GOES TO ZERO if I cannot see every thumbnail every time instantly REGARDLESS OF INTERNET CONNECTION!!! I CAN NEVER SEE THEM. Most of my work is OFFLINE! I'm thinking seriously about getting an Apple computer for the first time. I even had a Windows phone. The censorship of almost EVERYTHING I try to do is COMPLETELY UNACCEPABLE TOO. Micrsoft working FURIOUSLY against me in all my most critical things. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND I NEED MY THUMBNAILS OR I CANNOT DO ANY WORK.

The green check marks are how Microsoft OneDrive tells you it has successfully backed up your files/folders and are now in the cloud. If you were to lose your PC or your storage fails, the data is safe on your OneDrive server. It's basically just letting you know that your files are synced. This whole initial problem started within the OneDrive syncing on Windows 10/11. There are multiple ways to get rid of the green check marks: i.e. disable OneDrive sync or turn off OneDrive. To pause/disable: locate your OneDrive icon, click on the help & settings and then click on pause syncing (you may have to click on account first). To turn off: same steps except instead of pausing you click on quit drive. As far as problems arising from getting rid of OneDrive storage you must first understand that OneDrive is specific to Microsoft and they will promote their products. There are many other cloud storage apps out there that you can use. I personally got p.o'd with Microsofts OneDrive and uninstalled it on my laptop & desktop computers. I seem to have no problem with the Google Cloud storage.

I can see the pictures now using the "large or medium icon settings" not sure what I did but there us a green box with a checkmark in the lower left corner of each frame, how do I get rid of that?

Also what is the danger of getting rid of one drive storage, it does seem all my contacts are stored there and no where else.
