No internet connection

So I wanted to make my laptop a second monitor for my PC. But it didn't work, so I searched on YouTube about how to do it and someone said that I needed to reset my network, so I reset it and after that I couldn't connect to my network on device manager. It shows a yellow exclamation triangle. And at other devices have the same triangle. My network adapter is Intel(R) Ethernet Connection 1217-LM. Please help me.

    Yes, it is always best to restart the PC after installing a device driver.

    i did a bit of research and the driver you need to download is on the link below, copy that to a USB, then copy it into your PC, extract the Zip file and install the driver
