No internet connection

So I wanted to make my laptop a second monitor for my PC. But it didn't work, so I searched on YouTube about how to do it and someone said that I needed to reset my network, so I reset it and after that I couldn't connect to my network on device manager. It shows a yellow exclamation triangle. And at other devices have the same triangle. My network adapter is Intel(R) Ethernet Connection 1217-LM. Please help me.

    Hi Szabo,

    You can reset Windows if you wish, but if it has no internet access when the reset completes, then no device drivers will be installed.

    Also, can I reset my pc? that way is gonna reinstall everything but I will choose to keep my files does that work?
