Before posting did you actually try those ChatGTP-compiled solutions to see if any of them can actually fix the specific ModernDeployment-Diagnostics-Provider error (Description: "Autopilot.dll WIL error was reported"; Event ID = 1010) being discussed in this thread?

The solution you posted that was compiled by ChatGTP does not mention the fix first proposed by chris__74 on page 5 of this thread that has worked for many (but not all) users - namely, clearing information stored in the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) chip on the motherboard. Before anyone tries this please read my warning about BitLocker Disk Encryption in my 16-Apr-2023 post <here> on page 9 in this thread as well as feedback from some of the users in GhostSage's 17-Dec-2022 AutoPilot.dll WIL error was reported Event 1010 - Causes Crashing/Issues Any fix? who also stopped these errors by clearing their TPM.

The first part of your response is directly from advice Microsoft has on their website. It doesn't work. If you remove or rename autopilot.dll, these steps merely replace it and the errors continue. The second step isn't that easy, but if you change permissions, etc. and delete the .dll, I no longer get errors. It is too early to say if Edge is more lively or not, which was my complaint.

Interestingly, deleting the autopilot file and sfc'ing the same file gets installed, dating back to March, which is much later than the other system files I see. Perhaps, an update in March introduced a bad file? Seems unlikely, but you never know.

I had this same issue but the weird thing is if you go to windows powershell that files nowhere to be found. I also noticed when I typed in get-winevent to see all events, there's some funny things happening. If you look up or try to look up the process number in PS, it doesn't even know the process exist but it's all over the system. Then below that there a login from user:N/A. I'm gonna keep looking into this cause I wanna know what's causing it

Autopilot.dll is an essential part of windows 11 allowing programs to communicate with each other. If that program has issues then it can cause your system to crash. Be like trying to drive a car without the key. If the programs can't communicate then they will crash or cause system to be slow. Explains why the file can't be found, system file. There's still something not right with it. So let's see if we can help solve the problem

As a result i did do it, but nothing changed.

Today i did upgrade to Windows 11, but still the same autopilot.dll error is there.

I might need to erase the disk and re-install, if things get worse.
