Autopilot.dll WIL error

So this issue has been going on for almost a month now,event viewer is showing tons of these errors,i have 3 windows 10 installations and in each the error is there.Even tried to do a clean install on my main pc today to see if it would go away but to no effect.

This is the error:

Autopilot.dll WIL error was reported.

HRESULT: 0x80070491

Message: NULL

I searched a bit trough the comunity and found out that there are tons of people having the exact same problem.

Even as of October 17th, with the latest Windows 11 22H2 feature update, this remains an issue! This error is being raised over 100 times per hour on my laptop and is causing crashes. This error also gives the exact line of the code at which the error occurs. Can't someone check line 128 of the dllmain.cpp file and fix this issue? It has been months. Instead of getting a flashier widget screen for Windows 11, I'd much rather have a computer that works.

Having similar issue. Disabling sign-in assistant seems to have worked but it logged me out of edge browser profile syncing.

if i then try to sign in it instant crashes. The event viewer didn't then show any of these errors leading up to when i manually crashed it as it had previously so i assume it is related.

I'm going to test with a different program that might use the sign-in assistant to see if it crashes again.

This does not WORK on current installations and will remove programs and files on your computer. Worse advice I ever received in this community. You are at risk of losing valuable information if you have already installed W10 and setup any 3rd party programs. The original issue will still exist.... 2 Thumbs Down....
