Autopilot.dll WIL error

Even as of October 17th, with the latest Windows 11 22H2 feature update, this remains an issue! This error is being raised over 100 times per hour on my laptop and is causing crashes. This error also gives the exact line of the code at which the error occurs. Can't someone check line 128 of the dllmain.cpp file and fix this issue? It has been months. Instead of getting a flashier widget screen for Windows 11, I'd much rather have a computer that works.

This does not WORK on current installations and will remove programs and files on your computer. Worse advice I ever received in this community. You are at risk of losing valuable information if you have already installed W10 and setup any 3rd party programs. The original issue will still exist.... 2 Thumbs Down....

I am getting something very similar. It actually crashes my system and forces a reboot.

Any suggestions to correct this issue? I recently did a windows repair and it said it fixed corrupted files. But obviously it didn't fix this issue.

After completing a fresh Windows 11 installation without saving any files from the previous installation, this error has not appeared even though the sign-in service is running.

Installing Windows 11 22H2 fresh requires signing in with a Microsoft account, but after setting up the system, users can change the account into a local one, thus avoiding having to put in a PIN or password. The topic error has not occurred for me so far with either account type, so that's a positive. (Having to sign in to my local system with an MS account for the first boot is annoying and seemingly unnecessary.)

On a side note, I cannot recommend Windows 11 22H2, because Microsoft has made so many unnecessary features and settings default. I have spent over three hours so far disabling, uninstalling, and changing settings that I do not want. For example, by default, essential folders like Documents and Desktop are in the OneDrive folder, so if you do not want to use OneDrive, you have to uninstall OneDrive, Unlink your system from OneDrive, and reassign those folders' locations back to their normal place, which ironically is called the default location. There is a multitude of similar annoyances in this version. I would expect this sort of thing if I'd purchased a Dell-built PC, but this is just the standard operating system. Sad times.

Dell G5 w/ 16G Ram, Core i7, nvidia geforce RTX, Windows 11 22H2 9/20/2022

I tried this earlier this month Oct 2022, and it created a new user account (would not let me use my User name and wanted me to make a work or student account (not applicable) without many of my programs (Flight Simulator is a 100s of gigabyte install) To get back to my account I had to delete the new account to get my valid user account and programs back. Pain to do.

Because of the close to a Terabyte of installed software, I am not interested in a factory reset. I ran the Scannow and DISM fixes and did a repair install. I still get the BSOD for

The User for these errors is: either "Me" or "System" or "Network Service"

Many of the articles regarding "autopilot" issue refer to systems deployed by an IT department. I am a retired guy with no ties to any IT Department.

This BSOD generally occurs after a wake up from standby or inactivity or when I open the lid on my laptop after being closed overnight. I can eliminate the BSOD at the start of the day by shutting down overnight. I have eliminated all 3rd party software in the startup sequence. I don't have issues while actively using the laptop.

What will it take to get this issue elevated to development?
