Windows 11 right click explorer menu - Show More as Default

Hello!

I cannot stand the new drop down when I right click on a file. Could you please update windows 11 so we can set the show more option as the default?

Hi Brie,

You can use a small registry hack to revert to the classic context menu if you're not fond of Windows 11's fast context menu.

  1. Open a Command Prompt window.
  2. Type the following command line and press Enter: 
     reg add HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\InprocServer32 /ve /d "" /f

    Although I do love and appreciate smart people selling solutions for us bananas, it should have an easy way for even a banana to change this in options without needing to access registry.
