Restoring Windows 10 Ribbon on Win 11

Changing the functional area of File Explorer back to the style of Windows 10 can be achieved by modifying the registry. I will list the operation method below for your reference:

1. Click the search button on the taskbar and open it. Type "Regedit" to open the registry editor
2. In the path bar, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions and check on the right to see if there is only one "default" value.
3. Create a new "item" by right clicking on the blank space. Create a new string to the right of the new item, and name it {e2bf9676-5f8F-435c-97eb-11607A5BEDF7}
4. Restart your computer to see if the functional area is restored

Thanks for your response. But it has not worked again. The only difference in your string value is there are some capital letters which were small in the value which I had used. Anyway , both have failed to bring back the Win 10 style of the Ribbon. I had tried the same before I sought here only to fail the procedure. Yet It did work on the Win 11 22H1 which I have mentioned in my post!

It has been failing to work on the Win 11 22H2 version.

In the 22H2 update, File Explorer has added "tabs" that affect the ribbon display Settings. Considering that this update has just been pushed out, I think you can either wait for the next update or fall back to 21H2 (you can go back to the previous version within 10 days).

Sadly, when I go to the registry editor, in shell extensions I only see
Approved" and "Cached". "No Blocked"

Why did Microsoft take a useable tool and hide it. Lack of concern for their customers.

If you don't see a "Blocked" item in the shell extension, you can create one manually by right-clicking on the shell Extensions and calling it "Blocked". Add the key on the right to see the effect.
