The old explorer is still there, if you open a run box and type control, hit enter to open control panel then press Alt+Up Arrow then Windows 10 explorer is back. Unfortunately, I don't know of a way of keeping it like this, for now I am just opening a couple of windows like this and trying to remember not to shut them down. Doesn't really feel like progress to be honest, typical MS, why not give people a choice instead of forcing this garbage that no one asked for....

2022-09-25T06:31:45+00:00 Thanks for your response. But it has not worked again. The only difference in your string value is there are some capital letters which were small in the value which I had used. Anyway , both have failed to bring back the Win 10 style of the Ribbon. I had tried the same before I sought here only to fail the procedure. Yet It did work on the Win 11 22H1 which I have mentioned in my post!
It has been failing to work on the Win 11 22H2 version.

2022-10-19T12:19:18+00:00 It works as far as it goes but it is not permanent, so not very practical.
Why the hell did Microsoft think that it was a good idea to reduce productivity?
Thw Win 10 Ribbon was not broken, so why try and fix it?
What a lash up. Come on Microsoft. Sort it out and revert. Or, at the very least, make it an option to choose which ribbon we want to use.

2022-10-01T11:07:42+00:00 I have tried this, I'm on 22H2 build 22621.608 and it doesn't work. This is really frustrating because I found the original explorer ribbon much easier to use and judging by the number of posts about it, a lot of other users did also. One function I use a lot is to resize all columns to fit, which I could do with a single click, now I have to right click and select it.
